ArmourPanel comprises two outer layers of hardwood veneer with three more layers of solid hardwood in between, making it the only Australian made engineered panel with five layers of hardwood in Australia.

These multiple layers of hardwood sheets are bonded together with a durable type B bond, ultimately producing one firm and stable board formed by the cross-ply manufacturing process.

Thanks to these innovative techniques and the quality of all Australian hardwoods, Big River stakes the claim to Australia’s strongest engineered panel and is backed by a lifetime guarantee of structural integrity in residential applications.

The panels have been designed, tested and approved to tolerate heat and humidity, as well as changes in ambient temperature – qualities of the utmost importance in Australia’s changing climate.

Big River’s ArmourPanel boards are available in standard sizes 2400mm x 1200mm, 1800mm x 1200mm and 1200mm x1200mm, in a palette of rich, deep tones, from creams and yellows through to reds and browns, making them highly versatile.

Manufactured to Australian standards, a range of Australian timbers are proudly offered as the face veneer, including Blackbutt, Flooded Gum, Spotted Gum and Sydney Blue Gum.
